PROJECT DESCRIPTIONConcentrating on a sentimental moment between Absolem and Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, I designed an unconventional movie poster that amplifies the poetic dialogue between these two characters. Absolem, informing Alice that she is “almost Alice,” offers a compelling simplification of one’s own identity and potential. Leaning into this reflective metaphor, I constructed both a two-dimensional and three-dimensional space to react to a dynamic interweaving of intrapersonal and outwardly experienced realities. Both of the following interpretations evaluate type as image, with the main visual strategy relying on the capability of the individual typographic constructions.
